Nice to meet you! I guess you already had a good look through VSFOTO website, liked my work and just wanted to find out a little bit about me.
My name is Vilija, but feel free to call me Vil. Born in Lithuania, a beautiful little country in the middle of Europe. I’m Proud mum of two wonderful sons who both into the magical digital world of photography.
When not photographing I love travelling, rocky beaches, big waves in the ocean and swim in the see when no one does! Love road trips, rural places, Rock & Roll and a nice cup of English tea. I’m hopelessly romantic and optimistic. Favorite films – “Outlander” and “What Dreams may come”, favorite actor – Johnny Depp.
Photography has always been my real passion for many many years. I came to the UK in 2002 and soon started working on establishing a photography company here in the UK. Since then haven’t put my cameras down. Weddings, anniversaries, family occasions, business profile portraits, model portfolios, corporate events, and pet’s photography become part of my amazing life.
HOW I WORK
When working I try to be unobtrusive as possible. I’m capturing memorable reportage style images and building up a collection of candid shots, which groom and bride being busy will not have the chance to see. I photograph everything from the groom and bridal party preparing, to the location and surrounding area, the little smaller but no less important decoration details.
I aim to capture more formal photographs in an informal way as well as in a traditional way. Sometimes, depending on location and possibilities staged “Vogue” style photography can be achieved, but that can take more time, patience and cooperation.
At VSFOTO I use a combination of three styles of photography:
Documentary – where I will capture discreetly your day by simply following activities and events as they unfold
Traditional – I will also focus on getting all group shots, family photos and a lot of portraits of the groom and bride during the photo session, which normally last from 10 to 1h depending on how long you want it to be. Family portraits normally are taken after the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast
Contemporary – I would love to add something different and extra to your wedding day photography by using some lighting, attending interesting locations, using different angles, smoke bombs, using props or anything ells you have to suggest!
I believe the combination of those three types of photography produces the best outcome at the end of the day.
However, feel free to request just traditional or documentary
You have to remember that I will be with you during the whole day and you can rely on me not just as your photographer but as your best friend ( at least for a day ) even you need a glass of water or handkerchief to wipe a joyful tear.
I have photographed many weddings in the UK and abroad and have a very large portfolio. After 10 years my site has been just recently updated with the new images and new features. Hope you enjoyed browsing. If anything you have struggled or find difficult to find, please let me know and I work with my web designer to fix it.
We have Indemnity and Public liability insurance and are covered for the unlikely unfortunate event
I have been told our Wedding story albums are very unique and definitely in high demand. I have 85% of couples who are ordering the wedding Album with the packages or after the wedding. Creating a wedding story album it’s like going back to the memories of your beautiful day and making them look even more magical by creating a storybook.
